Being Joe Biden
Barack Obama's first executive decision, Joe Biden. Who better to keep a hawk eye on a mountain of stimulus cash. Poor old Slow Joe. You shouldn't make fun of people in nursing homes here in this blog. Ok, he's not IN a nursing home, but he's clearly senile and may belong in some sort of managed care facility.
Which raises the issue of whether or not he's IN a managed care facility now.
I only hope he stays with Team Barack for the next campaign.
He may be the mastermind of the team.
Joe isn't capable of figuring out that secret weapon.
I've wondered why so many otherwise intelligent people have considered Joe Biden anything other than the boob he is.
People whose opinion I respect though usually disagree with like Nat Hentoff have constantly beat the drum for a Biden presidency.
I still remember the flap when he was boosting speeches back in the 80s and trying to talk his way out of it.
My favorite joke at the time was: "When Senator Biden was confronted with the allegations of plagiarism he was heard to say; 'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself'"
At least in these dark times he gives us a laugh almost daily.
